Repetitious Epic: What's this Blog All About?

Hi, Yes I'm a newbie in the bloggosphere.  I don't really get it yet.  Why would anyone want to waste their time following anything I said?  Dunno, but I'm going to explore the idea anyway.  This blog is going to explore: A Day in the Life of a Barefoot (Horse not People!) Enthusiast.

Well anyway, let's get started. Here's a photo of one happy barefoot horse and a helper! Nope this isn't me but they are having fun driving the other beasties around and around the rubber ring to get their exercise. This little Morgan buddy was a previous founder case but he snapped right back and was the favorite, fo years, for doing the chores around the ranch.

Starting out with most already typically domestically kept horses can be a bit of a struggle sometimes.  But once you get your routine established, your barns and paddocks rearranged, it's really not so bad!  actually it can be quite a lot easier.  No more cleaning out wheelbarrow loads of shavings or straw. Now you just rake your loafing areas or open stalls (if you are not lucky enough to have acres and acres of space.) And IF you are lucky enough to have a basically sound horse and lots of nice abrasive rocky surface for them to wear their hooves on - you got it made.

if, on the other hand, you have the typical nice, rock free, loamy soil most horse folks dream of owning, you'll have to trim.  Eh, but it's not so bad - if you don't have fifteen horses!
Anyway, that's enough for my inaugural address.  I'll be back later, hopefully with something of more substance - but sometimes all it takes it to break the ice.
